This Privacy Policy describes how Velari Co. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use, or make a purchase from www.velarico.com (the “Store”), or otherwise communicate with us (collectively, the “Services”). The Store is powered by Shopify.

•        Shopify — as our ecommerce platform provider, Shopify processes personal information on our behalf to deliver the Services. See Section 5 for more detail.

•        Service providers — including payment processors, fulfilment and shipping partners, cloud storage providers, IT support, data analytics providers, and customer service tools who process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing agreements

•        Business and marketing partners — to facilitate personalised advertising and marketing services, where permitted by law. You may opt out of targeted advertising at any time (see Section 8).

•        Affiliates and corporate group entities — as required for internal business operations

•        Successors in a business transaction — in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, subject to standard confidentiality obligations

•        Law enforcement or regulatory authorities — where required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Velari Co., our customers, or others

•        With your consent — where you have directed or authorised us to share your information with a third party

5. OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

The Store is hosted and powered by Shopify Inc. Shopify collects and processes certain personal information about your use of the Services in order to provide and improve the platform. Information you submit through the Store will be transmitted to and stored by Shopify and may be transferred to third parties located in countries other than where you reside.

Shopify also offers enhanced features that use data from your interactions with our Store alongside data from other Shopify merchants. Where Shopify processes your personal information for its own purposes, Shopify is the data controller for those activities.

6. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18 (or the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction). If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have inadvertently collected information about a child, please contact us at team@velarico.com and we will promptly delete that information. As of the date of this Privacy Policy, we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

7. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We and our service providers (including Shopify and advertising partners) use cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies to:

•        Operate and improve the Store

•        Remember your preferences and cart contents

•        Analyse traffic and usage patterns

•        Deliver and measure the effectiveness of advertising

•        Detect and prevent fraud

You may disable cookies through your browser settings; however, doing so may affect the functionality of the Store. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

•        Right to Data Portability: you may request a copy of your personal information in a portable format

•        Right to Opt Out of Sale or Targeted Advertising: you may opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising purposes by contacting us or using the opt-out mechanism on our Store

•        Marketing Communications: you may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We may continue to send you transactional or account-related emails.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete or de-identify it in accordance with applicable law.

10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

We operate in the United States. Your personal information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than where you reside, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer.
